As a web designer I come across new websites all the time. Including sites that I really don’t have a lot of personal interest in. LumberJocks is one of those.

LumberJocks is part of a network of sites. LumberJocks, HomeRefurbers & GardenTenders all look the same in overall feel, but display different color themes based around the topic at hand. Lumber is brown & Garden is green, for example.

I mention these sites because I like them. I feel from a web development and design stand point they are very well done. There is something about the community feel and the mashup/APIs used that really flows well together.

I big “job well done”, pat on the back to whomever developed that network of sites.
